From September 2026, you may notice works taking place around our Little George Street site and the immediate local area. These works are not associated with the Little George Street development.

The works are part of the installation of the Bristol heat network, beginning with trial hole excavations on Pennywell Road, Eugene Street and Little George Street.

The Bristol heat network is a new system of underground pipes that will supply low carbon, locally generated heat to buildings across the city. This section of the network will be installed in phases between approximately September 2026 and early 2027 along Pennywell Road, Eugene Street, Little George Street and Wade Street.

The network forms part of the Bristol City Leap initiative, a significant infrastructure programme designed to deliver reliable, fairly priced heating and hot water.

• We’re pleased to confirm that planning permission for our plans at Little George Street was officially secured in June 2026.
• The development will deliver new purpose-built student accommodation alongside community spaces, new public spaces and improved access to the River Frome, supporting the wider regeneration of the Frome Gateway area.
• We’re now working through the next stages of the project ahead of starting on site. We will continue to provide updates as the project progresses.
